Lotika Paintal

Personable and dedicated, Lotika loves working with clients on their Real Estate needs. Lotika is very thorough and well informed on all aspects of the real estate transaction, to give her clients the edge needed in today’s competitive market. She uses her negotiation skills on behalf of her clients and loves to celebrate their success in accomplishing what is often a very significant transaction of their life.

Lotika lived in Lexington for nearly twenty years and Cambridge for three before moving to downtown Boston as an empty nester. Her own experience informs her deep understanding of the many facets of suburban vs urban life, schools, and commutes in the greater Boston area.

Lotika is also certified as a Realtor in New Hampshire where she has a second home. This equips her uniquely to advise clients on the complex and emotional aspects of downsizing, upsizing and second home ownership.

She is fluent in English, French and Hindi and is particularly effective interacting with different cultures and backgrounds. Having lived, studied, and worked in France, Norway, Denmark, Canada, and India, she understands and appreciates the emotions and challenges of selling a home, relocating, and starting anew.

She has an MA, from Harvard University with an emphasis on International Development and Negotiation and another from Lesley University in Intercultural Relations. Her BSc is in Molecular Biology from the Sorbonne, France.

Before Real Estate, Lotika worked for twenty years on poverty alleviation in the not-for-profit sector. She is passionate about addressing disparities, particularly the lack of access to water, sanitation, and hygiene education for vulnerable groups. She has worked tirelessly on this global crisis for many years and even started her own nonprofit Water Centric, to address it.

Lotika enjoys long bicycle rides in beautiful New England and has been riding in the Pan Mass Challenge– 192 Miles over two days – since 2008 to raise funds for cancer research for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She is also a keen Duplicate Bridge player and sailor. Lotika has been a member of the International Rotary Club and has served on the board of the Lexington Education Foundation.

"Lotika’s personal touch and warmth as a real estate agent is second to none. Her experience as a greater Boston metro resident helped provide insight into different neighborhoods and allowed us make the right community choice for our family. She was warm, empathetic, and patient as we learned how to navigate the competitive Boston market, and prioritized our search to make us feel comfortable reaching out at any time. Once we found the right house, the process unfolded quickly and Lotika helped us navigate the steps easily and comfortably. Highly recommended!"

"Thanks to Lotika, we realized our American Dream.” If you are looking to buy or sell a house in the Boston area, she is the one for you! We are a small Italian family. We moved to Boston with very little info about the local market. We were literally “lost in translation” when a friend recommended Lotika. No words can easily explain the complete and priceless help we received from Lotika in finding our home, starting with finding the town that fitted our needs. In this complicated COVID-crazy market, a good agent can make the difference between getting your dream house or losing it. We strongly believe that Lotika is, by far, the best agent we could have met. She guided us step by step, continually sharing the right advice, the proper strategy, and even anticipating solutions to problems that we did not know we had yet. Finding the home we love, would have been impossible without the guidance of an experienced, skilled, professional (and lovely) real estate agent like Lotika!"

"Lotika did an amazing job and provided great communication and customer service by continuously staying one step ahead and making sure that whatever needed to be done, got done. I would 100% recommend Lotika’ as the real estate agent for you – and to friends, family, neighbors and co-workers in the Greater Boston Area."

  -Victoria Garcia Drago, Client

"Lotika was outstanding in helping us find our first home! In Boston’s challenging seller’s market, we were very discouraged as first time home buyers and felt like we would never get an offer accepted. As soon as we met Lotika, we knew she would be the one to get us our home! Her greatest assets are her expertise, professionalism, and negotiation skills. She shows up on time, communicates well, has a great network of resources, and is an expert in her field. Meeting several selling agents during the process, it was apparent that she is well-respected in the real estate community. She is an excellent negotiator without being too aggressive, and will always have your best interests in the forefront. It was especially important for us as first-time home buyers to have an agent who could walk us through the steps of the complicated home buying process and answer any silly questions along the way. Lotika always took the time to listen to our needs and make us feel comfortable."
